Kathmandu. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) The government has approved programmes and budget worth Rs 31.40 billion for 83.
According to the NRA leadership, the budget has been brought keeping in mind the strengthening of civil aviation, development of aviation infrastructure and operation of old airports at full capacity.
NeA has set an estimated income of Rs 15.98 billion from internal income, share and loan grant of Rs 5.60 billion, Rs 869 million from the Government of Nepal, Rs 1.95 billion from value added tax receipts, Rs 2.57 billion from advance reserves and Rs 4.91 billion from bank reserves.
Apart from this, nea has allocated 41 percent i.e. Rs 12.85 billion for financial management.
Out of the total budget, 39 percent i.e. Rs 12.39 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure and 20 percent i.e. Rs 6.15 billion for operation.
NeA has allocated Rs 11.59 billion for airport infrastructure construction plans and Rs 673.5 million for payment of old liabilities.
Last year, a Sairya Airlines plane crashed inside the Tribhuvan International Airport killing 18 people. Similarly, five people, including a Chinese national, were killed in a helicopter crash at Surya Char in Nuwakot.
