Kathmandu. Micro-life insurers have brought in a business of about Rs 1 billion in the 10 months of the current fiscal year till April.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) today, three small life insurers have issued 1,578,651 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 982.6 million.
Guardian Micro Life is the largest source of business by Mid-April. The company has issued 1,060,832 policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 373.6 million.
Crest Micro Life is the second largest source of business. The company has sold 388,910 insurance policies till Mid-April and has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 362.3 million.
Similarly, Liberty Micro has earned Rs 246.6 million in insurance premiums by selling 128,909 insurance policies till Mid-April.
