Kathmandu. The stock market rose by single digits on Monday, the first trading day of the week. The NEPSE index increased by 7.73 points to close at 2796.43.
With the rise in the market, 8 sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group increased while 5 sub-groups decreased. The manufacturing and processing group increased the most by 1.52 percent while the trade group saw a decline of 1.39 percent.
Share prices of 157 companies have increased while 102 companies have fallen. Shares of 10 companies remained stable on the day.
The market was traded around Rs 5.75 billion today. Reliance Spinning Mills was the most traded on the day.
