Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The ongoing Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 is being held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Friday. Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) organized the Expo on Tuesday on the third day of the expo. Today is the fourth day.

More than 77,000 visitors visited the fair in just three days. A total of 29,000 visitors visited the expo on the first day, 26,000 on the second day and 22,000 on the third day.

Vehicles of more than 55 brands are on display. Distributor companies are attracting visitors to their stall by releasing new models of vehicles. With more options, it has become easier for the visitors to choose the vehicles as desired.

Bikram Subedi, a local of Bhaisepati in Lalitpur, said that the fair was full of vehicles as per the money. “Four-wheelers worth Rs 16-17 lakh to Rs 30 million were on display at the exhibition,” he said, adding, “It is also good to get a car with the same pocket.” ‘

There is also a significant crowd of visitors on two wheels. Young people are especially attracted to expensive brands.

Observers say that the Naima Expo is an important opportunity to book a car according to your capacity. The visitors have specially asked about the battery capacity, motor, range, after-sales service, warranty/guarantee of the battery, resale value, etc.

The companies have also provided various facilities to attract customers. They have provided discount on prices, one year insurance, one year vehicle tax, free servicing and low-rate loans.

So far, 52 new models of vehicles have been launched by various brands during the event. Around one and a half lakh visitors are expected during the fair.

In today’s Naima Mobility Dialogue, there has been a discussion and interaction on the topic of Mobilizing Mobility through Finance & Insurance. The panelists included Satyendra Subedi, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Raja Aryal, Chief Marketing Officer of Global IME Bank, Sunil Ballav Pant, Chief Executive Officer of NLG Insurance Company Limited and Samir Thakur, Chief Executive Officer of Hulas Finserv Hire Purchase Limited.

In Wednesday’s learning sessions, there was a discussion and interaction on ‘Mobility: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’, while on the first day of the expo, there was a discussion on ‘Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Mobilizing-Fuel for Economic Growth’. During the Expo, there will be participation of national and international experts ‘Naima Mobility Dialogue’.

The second edition of the expo, organized with the objective of promoting sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal, will run for six days i.e. August 14. Domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers are participating in the expo. The major attraction of the expo is the first-time brands as well as new models of electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles.

In the expo, banks and financial institutions and insurance companies are providing special offers and concessional loans for the purchase of vehicles.
