Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump said on Monday that a new round of talks with Iran will begin.

President Trump said the planned major military strike has been postponed for now. “Because Iran and U.S. allies in the Middle East have asked for it,” he said.

Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that talks between the United States and Iran would begin on Monday afternoon. He, however, did not specify where the talks would take place or who would participate.

Earlier, Trump wrote on his social media platform, TruthSocial, that US allies in Iran and the Middle East had asked him to stop military action. Because the outline of the deal is almost ready. ’

Trump also claimed that there was still a possibility of a deal on the Strait of Hormuz and the nuclear issue.

However, Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency said Iran had not asked the US to suspend any military action. Trump’s claim is a “new lie,” the news agency said.

According to Iranian media, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that negotiations on the agreement related to Hormuz, mediated by Oman, are moving forward in the final stages. –Agency
