KATHMANDU: The first fortnightly (from September 1 to 15) under the Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program has been announced on Friday.
Chairperson of International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, Sumnima Udas, and House of Representatives members Ganesh Karki and Santosh Rajbanshi jointly announced the tax payer incentive gift for the first 15 days of the month of Ashoj.
According to the new announcement, Lalbabu Sah Kanu of Parsa has received a 15-day bumper gift worth Rs 10 lakh. The sum paid by Kanu for the purchase of lube oil worth Rs 21,000 has been selected as a bumper gift.
Director General of the Inland Revenue Department, Dr Bhishma Kumar Bhusal, immediately contacted Kanu over the phone and urged him to contact the nearest tax office to receive the award.
According to the Inland Revenue Department, from September 1 to 15, 3,18,18,286 transactions of consumers who took bills through online and cash purchases were eligible for the gift program. Of these, the number of transactions of consumers who took bills through cash transactions was 2,47,979 and the number of transactions of consumers who bought goods through online and card payments was 3,15,70,307.
