Kathmandu. Sudhan Gurung and Mahabir Pun have been re-inducted into the Cabinet.
Gurung has been re-inducted into the government led by Prime Minister Balen Shah as the Home Minister. Pun was reinstated as the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation in the Shah government.
President Ram Chandra Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, today.
Earlier, Gurung had resigned from the post of Home Minister on April 9 after questions were raised about his assets. After this, the government had formed a committee to study Gurung’s property. The committee had submitted a report stating that there was no dishonesty in Gurung’s property. On the basis of the same report, Prime Minister Shah returned Gurung to the post of Home Minister.
Pun was appointed as the Minister for Education, Science and Technology in the Sushila Karki-led government formed after the Jenji movement. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Myagdi after the election atmosphere started.
