Stock Brokers’ Association congratulates Capital Market Personalities Representing FNCCI

Kathmandu. The Stock Brokers Association of Nepal (SAI) on Wednesday extended congratulations and best wishes to the members of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

On the occasion, all the office-bearers of the association, former presidents and representatives of the FNCCI elected from different sectors were invited to the program. The event was attended by Vice-President of FNCCI Naresh Lal Shrestha, Vice-President Dil Sundar Shrestha, Vice-President Krishna Prasad Sharma, Veteran Investor of Capital Bazaar Ambika Prasad Poudel, former Presidents of Association Santosh Mainali, Priya Raj Regmi, Juna Mathema and Director of Vision Securities Raj Kumar Timilsina.

On the occasion, Association President Sagar Dhakal stressed on the role of FNCCI in capital market, amendment of Securities Act and representation of people in the Securities Board of Nepal.

Similarly, Poudel said that 70 percent of the GDP has been capitalized in the capital market. Stating that there has been a huge participation from the capital market in the FNCCI for the first time, Poudel stressed on the need of strengthening the Stock Brokers’ Association.

Similarly, former president of the association, Santosh Mainali, said that the 10-unit policy in the capital market is socialist policy and it has led to market cornering. Mainali stressed that the time has come to reconsider the listing and IPO policy in the stock market while promoting the book building method.

Former president of the association and executive member of FNCCI, Priya Raj Regmi, said that the secondary market needs to be made dynamic. He also pledged to take initiative through the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) to resolve the problems of the capital market.

Newly elected representative of FNCCI, Juna Mathema, stressed that the Stock Brokers Association should carry out policy works. She said that it would be more effective to make 3 honey when the association submits suggestions. She suggested the association to make short public awareness videos of 2-3 minutes.

The program was hosted by General Secretary Bhaktiram Ghimire and welcome speech by Nitesh Kumar Agrawal, Vice President of the Association. The program was attended by all the officials of the association. On the occasion, financial journalist Kumar Khatiwada was honoured for his best writing.
