Kathmandu. The Morang Chamber of Industries is going to organize ‘Skill Utsav 2083’. The Skill Festival is being organized with the objective of highlighting the skill gap between the human resources required by the industry and the human resources available in the market.
The Skill Festival 2083 is being organized with the financial support of the Swiss government, technical assistance of Insure Helvetas Nepal and coordination of the Koshi Province Ministry of Social Development.
The festival will be held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the secretariat of the Morang Chamber of Industries (IOU), Biratnagar, on June 14, where inter-school skills competition, live training, career counseling activities will be conducted. On the same day, prizes will be awarded to the winners of the final round of skills competition.
There will be a skill competition in information technology, hotel management and automobiles, live training on pottery, plumbing, industrial automation, CCTV, 3D printing, green skills, career counseling and career counseling sessions for students and youths.
Students of Information Technology, Hotel Management, Automobile Engineering, representatives of industries and organizations from the technical schools, information technology, hospitality sector will participate in the festival.
According to Nanda Kishor Rathi, president of Industry Association, Morang, the festival will further strengthen the coordination and cooperation among training providers, industry establishments, government bodies and trainees to spread the message of production of skilled human resources as per the need, guarantee employment opportunities and employment opportunities in the country.
