Kathmandu. Committed to its social responsibility, Shivam Cements Limited has decided to provide financial support to the education of 12 years old Sandesh Budha Magar of Rolpa Municipality-10, Dhangsi.
Based on a news report published in ‘Routine of Nepal Bandh’, journalist Suresh Timilsina said that Shivam Cement is to help Budha Magar who is physically disabled and unable to move both hands. Born with both hands, Sandesh has continued his studies by writing on his feet despite the poor financial condition of his family.
He has passed Grade 5 from the school currently in Rolpa. However, due to the lack of a suitable disabled-friendly school for students with special abilities in Rolpa and poor family financial condition, he said that he was facing difficulties in further studies.
In this context, Shivam Cement has collaborated with Khagendra Navjivan Special Education Secondary School, Jorpati, Kathmandu to continue Sandesh’s studies up to secondary level. It has also collaborated with the Disabled New Life Center for his care and residential arrangements.
Under the arrangement, the Disabled New Life Centre will coordinate the accommodation, care and study of Sandesh while the Khagendra Navjivan Special Education Secondary School will make arrangements. Shivam Cement will provide the cost of Sandesh’s secondary level education to the Disabled New Life Center on a half-yearly basis.

Education is the foundation of a strong future. Therefore, we believe that such children should also get quality education with encouragement. ’
Inspired by Sandesh Budha Magar’s struggle and self-confidence, this support is expected to further ease his educational journey. Shivam Cements Limited has said that it will continue such CSR programs in the coming days as well.
