According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, 20 commercial banks have spent a total of Rs 45.13 billion till mid-April of the current fiscal year. Last year, 2081. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has spent Rs 3.71 billion in salaries and allowances of its employees till mid-April of the current fiscal year. In the same period of the previous year, the bank spent Rs 3.14 billion. Such expenses of the bank have increased by 18.06 percent compared to the previous year.
Similarly, Nabil IME Bank is the second largest spender in salary and allowances of employees. As of mid-April, the bank has spent a total of Rs 3.20 billion. It had spent Rs 2.85 billion in the same period of the previous year. Compared to the previous year, the bank’s expenses increased by 12.35 percent.
Global IME Bank is the third highest spender. In the review period of the previous year, the bank spent Rs 2.94 billion on salaries and allowances of its employees, which increased by 5.14 percent to Rs 3.09 billion in the review period.
As of the review period, Standard Chartered Bank has spent the least amount on salary and allowances of employees. The bank has spent Rs 77.79 crore. The bank had spent Rs 78.97 crore in the same period last year. The bank’s expenses decreased by 1.63 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
Similarly, the expenses of staff of Standard Chartered Bank, NMB, NIC Asia Bank, Himalayan Bank, Prabhu Bank and Kumari Bank have also decreased.
