Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has jacked up the prices of petroleum products. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, cooking LP gas and aviation fuel to be effective from this noon.
The NOC has increased the price of petrol by Rs 17 per litre and diesel and kerosene by Rs 25 per litre.
Likewise, the price of aviation fuel (domestic) has been increased by Rs 6 per litre. According to the new price list, petrol will now cost Rs 219 per cylinder, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 207 and LP gas will cost Rs 2010 per cylinder.
The price of aviation fuel (domestic) is Rs 257 per litre. According to the NOC, the price of petroleum products has been increasing continuously in the international market due to the ongoing war in the Middle East for the past few months. Despite the government’s 50 per cent discount on customs duty and infrastructure development tax, the corporation’s losses were not reduced.
