Kathmandu. Now, the draft of monetary policy has to be divided into three parts.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has amended the Monetary Policy Formulation Procedure-2073 BS to make the second amendment. The framework of the monetary policy has been included by adding 5 (a) in the revised working procedure.
The monetary policy should be reviewed and progress report should be included while preparing the monetary policy for the current fiscal year.
It will also have to include a macroeconomic report prepared with a review of the macroeconomic situation and analysis of various economic issues.
Only then will the policy provisions to be determined by the monetary policy for the coming fiscal year have to be included.
A point (j) has been added to the definition of the revised procedure. In this point, ‘draft’ means 3 documents, including a review and progress report of the provisions made in the monetary policy for the current fiscal year, a macroeconomic report with review and analysis of the macroeconomic situation and analysis of various economic issues, and a preliminary draft prepared for the monetary policy or review.
