Kathmandu. NIC ASIA Bank, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, has provided various support materials to the philanthropic organizations and schools. The bank has provided educational materials to Shree Satyeshwor Shivashakti Basic School, Nijgadh, Bara and Shree Araniko Secondary School, Mechinagar, Jhapa and furniture at Hamro Sajha Ghar, operated by Paropakar & Research Centre, Birtamode, Jhapa.
The bank handed over the beds to Bishnu Didi Karki, Chairman of Hamro Sajha Ghar, by Prakash Shrestha, Head of Central Operations Department and Dan Raj Subba, Circle Head, Birtamod. The organization has been providing support to more than 44 helpless, disabled and elderly people with food and accommodation.
Similarly, Gopal Prasad Subedi, Circle Head, Birgunj, handed over a laptop and projector to Umesh Kumar Swarnkar, Principal of Shree Satyeshwor Shivashakti Basic School.
Similarly, in another program held on the same day, Prakash Shrestha, Head of Central Operations Department and Dan Raj Subba, Circle Head, Birtamod, handed over smartboards and laptops to Shree Araniko Secondary School Principal Bishal Bhattarai. More than 263 students are enrolled in Shree Sathyeshwar Shivashakti Basic School and more than 350 students are studying in Araniko Secondary School.
The bank believes that the support provided to Sajha Ghar will make the daily life of the dependents of the organization more comfortable and healthy as well as strengthen the digital learning practices through the educational materials provided to the government/community schools, increase student participation in the school and ensure everyone’s access to quality education.
