Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to crack down on the unfair practices of the employees working in banks and financial institutions.
The central bank has proposed to add some stringent provisions in the draft prepared by amending the Employees Service Bylaw issued as a model for banks and financial institutions. The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has added some stringent provisions in the draft of the bank and financial institutions to make the provision of employees of banks and financial institutions to always be honest and loyal while performing their responsibilities under their responsibilities.
Here are the provisions added to the draft

- } Employees working in a bank or financial institution shall not be allowed to carry out any financial transaction for their personal benefit by inducementing the customers of the institution by taking loans from banks and financial institutions.
- Employees should serve the customer with their ethical conduct and honesty. No customer shall be allowed to create an environment in which the reputation of the organization will be tarnished by creating an environment where any employee has misbehaved with him or her or has done unethical work.
No employee working in a bank or financial institution shall be allowed to do any act against his or her will by threatening, coercing or inducementing the customer or anyone else or to prepare any correspondence or document with a forged signature in his/her name without the knowledge of the employee.TAG_OPEN_li_18
Employees of the concerned banks and financial institutions are not allowed to participate directly or indirectly in the activities related to loan recovery, including the auction of any bank or financial institution and other bodies including the Debt Recovery Tribunal.TAG_OPEN_li_15
An employee shall not be allowed to engage in any improper transaction with the Customer through himself or his family members or by any other means.TAG_OPEN_li_14
The NRB has also proposed to take action against such employees as per the rules if these provisions are found to be mentioned.
