More than half of the 2 lakh votes counted in proportional representation

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in the proportional representation (PR) vote cast in the House of Representatives elections.

According to the data released by the Election Commission, a total of 1,77,209 proportional representation votes have been counted in various constituencies across the country so far. Out of this, the Rastriya Samajwadi Party alone has garnered 96,801 votes. That’s 54.63 percent.

The Nepali Congress (NC) is the second largest proportional representation vote. The Congress got 16.40 percent or 29,074 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML has garnered 20,400 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party has garnered 9,012 votes. The UML has 10.24 per cent and the RPP 4.12 per cent of the total votes.

The rest of the votes were cast by other parties, including the CPN.
