Kathmandu. Like every year, Cloth Bank Nepal and Nepal-India Open Border Dialogue Group have set up a help desk for the service of saints, mahants, devotees and pilgrims coming from Nepal and India on the occasion of Mithila Madhyama Parikrama, also known as Manav Mahakunda.
The help desk provides free health camp, clean drinking water, first aid, medicine distribution and other basic facilities. According to the organizers, more than a thousand service recipients have been directly benefited so far. The camp will be conducted at all the residential places along the circumambulation route on the Nepal side.
Various social, political and intellectual personalities including Madhes Province Speaker Ram Ashish Yadav and Rastriya Samajwadi Party candidate Manish Jha from Dhanusha constituency-3 were present in the camp. According to the organizers, their presence has boosted the morale of the office-bearers and volunteers of the organization.
Similarly, in the camp, Dr. Cloth Bank Nepal Chairman Rajiv Jha, Secretary Manish Shreom, Treasurer Ruby Jha, Dhaneshwor Thakur, Krishna Kumar Sah, Rashtriya Swatantra Party leader Jitendra Mahaseth, Ambu Prasad Sah, Nanda Kumar Jha, intellectual Radha Raman Jha and Indresh Jha were present on the occasion.
Pilgrims from Nepal and India have expressed the view that the open border has further strengthened religious faith, cultural unity and historical relations. The Mithila Madhyama Parikrama is not only a religious ritual but also a living symbol of shared civilization, tradition and close relations between Nepal and India.
The participants said that the Manav Mahakunda Service Camp conducted with the mantra “Service is Religion” has made the circumambulation journey more easy, systematic and human-centric.
