LBEF launches ‘MBA in AI’ and ‘Digital Leadership’ programme

Kathmandu. LBEF – Nepal’s first IT college has launched MBA in AI and Digital Leadership programs focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation. Considering the rapid development of AI technology and the growing demand in the market, the foundation has started a new curriculum.

Engineer Pankaj Jalan, Chairman of the Foundation, informed that these programs will be conducted with the affiliation of Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation and with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

The foundation has partnered with DLA Consulting to run MBA in AI and Digital Leadership programs. Inaugurating the program, Chairman Jalan said that AI is not only the technology of the future but has become an integral part of banking, business, management, data analytics, reporting, and daily office work.

According to him, the purpose of the new program is not limited to the technical knowledge of building AI software or tools, but also enable the students to effectively use AI technology available in the market in real-life and business.

Prakash Kejriwal, executive director of the foundation, presented a paper on the development of information technology, current status of AI and future prospects. LBEF has also said that it is preparing to establish a physical AI server lab with the aim of making AI education practical. The foundation has informed that preparations are being made to bring AI servers from abroad to Nepal.

According to the Foundation, the proposed AI Lab will not only be a place to store servers and equipment, but will also be developed as a center that will provide students with the opportunity to directly use, test and research AI technology. Students will be able to practice AI on their own servers and access to 11 international online labs, research papers, journals and books.

Speaking on the occasion, Suman Neupane, Founder and President of DLA Consulting, said that AI is not only a part of information technology but has become an integral part of every organization’s strategic decision-making. “By bringing an international curriculum on AI to Kathmandu, we are not only adding another academic degree, but also creating a new foundation for building future business leaders in Nepal,” said Neupane.
