Kathmandu. On the occasion of World Financial Week 2026, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank organized various financial literacy programmes. The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) celebrates the week in March every year. The week started on March 17 this year and ran until March 23.
On this occasion, the bank has conducted effective classes throughout the country and disseminated various awareness generating materials through various social networking sites with an aim to enhance financial literacy and enhance financial knowledge and skills among students.
The Bank has conducted Financial Literacy Programmes in various schools across seven provinces benefitting more than 1000 students. The programs focused on capital formation by integrating small savings, the importance of saving, creating a personal budget, managing expenses and the opportunities and challenges of digital transactions.
In addition, considering the increasing cases of digital fraud, the bank has launched a special campaign to raise awareness about OTP. The campaign also disseminated awareness video materials in multiple languages through various social media sites to help spread the message about financial protection to different communities in an effective manner.
Similarly, the bank also provides information on developing a habit of saving for a safe future, saving and investing, budget adjustment, emergency fund for sudden problems, digital transaction mistakes and avoiding online frauds.
During the week, the bank organized morning rally programs with information related to financial literacy at various places.
