Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank conducts financial literacy in collaboration with Nepal Medical Association

KATHMANDU: Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has organized a financial literacy programme with an aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of more than 60 women doctors of Nepal Medical Association (NMA) in collaboration with Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank.

President of Nepal Medical Association Dr. Badri Rijal presided over the program where trainers provided information on financial management to the participating women doctors through presentations, interactions and practical facilitation.

Inaugurating the program, Dr. Sujita Hirachan highlighted the need and importance of financial management, budget determination and tax management for doctors. CA Anupama Sangraula facilitated the program on financial literacy by CA Anupama Sangraula and Jinusha Palikhe Shrestha, Head of Digital Operations Department of the Bank and Surya Kant Neupane, Loan Officer. They provided practical information to the participating doctors on personal financial planning, budget making, savings, investments, tax management and long-term financial security.

Chairman of the program and President of Nepal Medical Association, Dr. Badri Rijal said that doctors should give equal priority to financial management along with their profession. He said that financial knowledge and systematic financial planning are important for personal and family financial security along with the professional life of doctors.

Chairman Rijal thanked Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank and all the concerned parties for their support in making the program a success. Program Coordinator Dr. Nisha Acharya said that financial literacy is an important and necessary subject for women doctors.

Former President of Nepal Medical Association Dr. Lochan Karki was present as a special guest. Similarly, Dr. Yubin Yadav, member of Nepal Medical Council. Dr. Yubin Yadav, executive member of Nepal Medical Association. Bina Shrestha was present as a guest.

Organized with the objective of professional development of female physicians, financial empowerment and financial awareness, the event will enable the participants to manage their income judiciously, make financial plans for the future and make decisions for the future.

The bank has been conducting various programs for financial access, financial literacy and financial inclusion and has pledged to carry out various programs in the coming days to achieve the goals set by the Government of Nepal.
