Kathmandu. The stock market rose sharply on Wednesday. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 2.66 points to close at 2780.25.
With the rise in the NEPSE sub-group, 7 sub-groups have increased while 6 sub-groups have fallen. The non-life insurance group saw the highest fall of 3.37 per cent while the other group fell by 2.36 per cent.
Shares of 149 companies increased and 116 declined. On this day, the share prices of 6 companies are stable.
Shares worth Rs 5.78 billion were traded in the market today.
