Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah has said that the government was making efforts in a planned manner to address the sensitive situation emerging in Sunsari and other districts and to strengthen social harmony.
During a meeting with the parliamentarians of the Rastriya Swatantra Party representing Madhes province at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today, Prime Minister Shah urged the citizens to remain calm and not to be distracted, saying all organs of the state were on high alert.
Prime Minister Shah said the government’s priority was to reach out to the victims, make them feel safe, conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and prevent further wrongdoings. He also urged the MPs to reach their respective constituencies to prevent further violence from spreading, to stand among the happiness and sorrow of the people and to build a strong bridge of trust between the state and citizens.
