Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system have increased by Rs 62 billion in a single day.
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 82.67 trillion as of Thursday, up from Rs 82.05 trillion on Wednesday.
Similarly, credit disbursement stood at Rs 5942 billion as of Wednesday, which reached Rs 59.45 billion as of Thursday. Credit flow has increased by Rs 3 billion in a single day.
As of Thursday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 74.65 trillion while loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 5.287 trillion.
The CD ratio has come down to 71.29 percent and the interbank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 71.77 percent the previous day.
