Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 9.90 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The amount is being invested in the gratuity and pension fund of the central bank in fixed deposits of the banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 7 pm on March 18.
Out of the total amount, the central bank will invest Rs 7.60 billion in commercial banks, Rs 1.42 billion in national level development banks and Rs 475 million in national level finance companies.
The investment will be held for 366 days from March 24, 2026 to March 24, 2027.
