Kathmandu. A preliminary agreement has been reached between First Microfinance and Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha to go for merger.
The two organizations signed a preliminary memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the merger on Monday afternoon. First Microfinance has its central office in Gyaneshwor of Kathmandu and Mahila Laghubitta has its head office in Sanga, Banepa, Kavre.
As per the guidelines of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), First Microfinance has asked the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) to freeze the trading of shares of the company’s shareholders until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held.
