Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Citizens Bank Limited has planted saplings on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026 under the ‘One Account, One Tree’ campaign. As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank organized a tree plantation at Chaukidanda Tourism Park in Budhanilkantha on Saturday.
A total of 1500 saplings have been planted in the park and 200 saplings have been planted in other provinces across the country, including 200 in Koshi, 250 in Madhesh, 200 in Gandaki, 200 in Lumbini, 200 in Karnali and 200 in Sudurpaschim State.
Chief Executive Officer of the bank Mr. Ganesh Raj Pokharel, Chairman of Ward No. 1 of Budhanilkantha Ward No. 1 Mr. Surendra Lama and senior management of the bank were present during the program.
As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank has also provided support to various community schools and health camps in various parts of the country.
