Kathmandu. The flood in the Budhigandaki River has damaged 4 hydropower projects. According to preliminary information, the flood has damaged Budhigandaki Hydropower Project, Dobhan Khoja Hydropower Project, Yaru Khola Hydropower Project and Machha Khola Hydropower Project.
The flash floods have damaged the 341 MW Budhigandaki Hydropower Project. The main camp area of the project has been swept away and some construction equipment has also been washed away.
Similarly, the flood has damaged the 24.5 MW Dobhan Khola Hydropower Project. This project also damaged some houses in the camp area and washed away the bailey bridge.
The floods damaged the bailey bridge of the 30.59 MW Yaru Khola Hydropower Project and swept away construction materials and equipment.
Similarly, the flood has also damaged the access road of the 16-megawatt Machhakhola Hydropower Project and the bridge leading to the project site.
