Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Vehicular movement on the BP Highway connecting central and eastern Tarai to kathmandu valley has been banned for 15 days from 6:30 pm to 5 am.
A meeting of the Inter-District Security Coordination Committee of Kavre, Sindhuli and Ramechhap on Friday decided to ban the operation of vehicles during the night from Friday citing the risk of floods and landslides in the rivers and hilly areas along the highway.
Kavre Bhanjyang in Kavre to Khurkot in Sindhuli is one of the most vulnerable areas.
There is a problem of blocking the BP Highway due to the continuous flow of mud from the hilly areas of this region during the rainy season.
