Kathmandu. The Saudi Defense Ministry has confirmed that two drones attacked the US Embassy in Riyadh. “The attack caused a small fire and caused minor damage to the building,” the embassy said in a statement posted on X. ’
The US mission in Saudi Arabia has advised residents of Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran to “stay safe at home”. Earlier on Monday, smoke could be seen billowing from or near the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait. The embassy then advised residents not to go near the embassy and to stay safe at home.
Iran and Israel have been attacking each other since the attacks on Israel and the United States on Saturday. Iran has also targeted US military bases in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the US State Department has issued a statement urging its citizens living in several Middle Eastern countries to leave as soon as possible due to the threat of attack.
