KATHMANDU: Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Office, Biratnagar has organized an insurance discussion and interaction program with the students and teachers of Ratna Secondary School in Rangeli.
The Insurance Authority has been taking the discussion and interaction program to the community level with the expectation that the impact of the students being made aware of the students being the agents of social transformation will reach the parents and the community level.
Rajendra Maharjan, chief of Nepal Insurance Authority’s Koshi Province Office, said that the NEA has prioritized such targeted programs in Rangeli to provide insurance as a financial security cover for life and property, not just as a paper agreement.
On the occasion, First Assistant of Insurance Authority Milan Pokharel imparted training to the students and teachers on the importance of insurance, necessity and how to avoid financial loss.
Contribution of insurance sector to the overall financial system of the country, concept of insurance, types of life and non-life insurance and its utility were also shared in the program.
After the program, an open question and answer program related to insurance was also conducted for the students. Where the students actively expressed their queries and dilemmas.
Maharjan said that imparting practical financial knowledge to the students right from the school level can help them become responsible citizens in the future and also motivate their families to adopt financial security measures.
