Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) in the last fiscal year 2082. In 83 cases, data on on-site inspections of insurance companies has been published.
NEA has carried out on-site inspections of insurance companies 50 times in the last fiscal year. Of them, the NEA carried out on-site inspection 17 times for life insurers, 18 times for non-life insurers, 6 times for re-insurers, three times for micro life insurers and six times for micro life insurers.
The NEA has carried out regular inspection of life insurance companies seven times and emergency inspection 10 times. In the case of non-life insurer, the NEA has carried out 14 emergency inspections and four inspections related to AML÷CFT.
Similarly, the NEA has carried out 5 emergency inspections and one regular inspection of micro life insurers, 3 times in small life insurer, 2 times in small life insurer and 5 times in small life insurer.

In the previous fiscal year 2081. Risk-based supervision was started from 82. Last fiscal year 2082. In 83 years, the authority has carried out risk-based supervision in two life insurers. According to the authority, preliminary discussions are underway to gradually supervise other insurers.
