Kathmandu. Life insurance companies have collected over Rs 10.16 billion in insurance premiums in the fiscal year 2082/83 BS alone. According to the statistics published by the Nepal Insurance Authority, life insurance companies have been able to collect Rs 10.16 billion in insurance premium by selling 5,82,407 insurance policies during the period.
During this period, Nepal Life Insurance Company has collected the highest premium. During the period, the company collected Rs 2.91 billion in first insurance premiums. The company has a share of 28.64 percent of the total life insurance business. The second is National Life. During the period, the company collected Rs 1.30 billion in first insurance premiums. The company has a share of 12.87 percent of the total life insurance business. The third is Surya Jyoti Life. During the period, the company earned Rs 93.98 crore in first insurance premium. The company has a share of 9.24 percent of the total life insurance business.

During the period, Himalayan Life has collected Rs 68.42 crore in first insurance premiums. The company has a share of 6.73 percent of the total life insurance business. Citizen Life has collected Rs 65.56 crore in insurance premium. This company has a share of 6.45 percent of the total life insurance business. Asian Life Insurance has collected Rs 58.91 crore in its first insurance premium. The company has a share of 5.79 percent of the total life insurance business.
LIC Nepal has collected Rs 54.76 crore in insurance premium. The company has a share of 5.39 percent of the total life insurance business. Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life has collected Rs 54.30 crore in insurance premiums from here today. The company has a share of 5.34 percent of the total life insurance business.
Sanima Reliance Life has collected Rs 51.50 crore in insurance premium. The company has a share of 5.07 percent of the total life insurance business. IME Life has collected Rs 50.86 crore in insurance premiums from its customers. This company has a share of 5 percent of the total life insurance business.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 43.67 crore in its first insurance premium. This company has a share of 4.30 percent of the total life insurance business. KATHMANDU: Sun Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 29.19 crore in insurance premiums. The company has a share of 2.87 percent of the total life insurance business.
Met Life has collected Rs 19.54 crore in its first insurance premium. This company has a share of 1.52 percent of the total life insurance business. National Life Insurance Company has collected Rs 3.99 crore in insurance premium. The company has a share of 0.39 percent of the total life insurance business.
