36 killed in floods and landslides in 40 days

Kathmandu. In the last 40 days, 36 people have lost their lives in floods and landslides, despite claims that the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah and Home Minister Sudhan Gurung have adopted a response strategy to prevent loss of life and property due to the monsoon.

According to the data published by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), 36 people have lost their lives in the country since the onset of monsoon this year. As many as 84 people were injured. A total of 1089 households have been affected by the floods and landslides.

The NRA has held a review meeting at the NRA office on Friday regarding the incidents of natural disasters, human and physical damage that occurred in Manusan this year.
