Kathmandu. Sun Securities (Broker No. 64) has conducted an orientation and interactive training program on Nepalese capital markets targeting the research trainees of the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS).
A total of 35 research trainees participated in the program held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Sun Securities Trading Hall at Naxal Narayanchaur, Kathmandu. The programme also saw significant participation of foreign research scholars from different countries along with Nepalis.
The program was facilitated by Mr. Krishna Giri (Executive Chairman, Sun Securities), Mr. Astitva Sharma (CEO, Subiz Group) and Mr. Bibek Adhikari, Trading Officer, Sun Securities.
During the training, a detailed presentation was made on the overall introduction of the Nepali capital market, working system of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the use of ATred (New TMS System), the use of My Share and Demat account, basic principles of investment, aspects to be considered before investment, the relationship between risk and return, and the role of capital market in building long-term wealth.
The research trainees participated in the program with great enthusiasm and put forth various queries. Particularly, the foreign research trainees actively participated in the interaction, showing keen interest on Nepal’s capital market structure, investment process and technology-friendly system.
Sun Securities pledged to continue to contribute to the development of a culture of responsible investing through educational and awareness programs aimed at promoting financial literacy among students, youth, and the general public.
