Kathmandu. Every year the list of the most powerful countries in the world is released. It assesses the strength of countries on more than 60 parameters. A list is then released.

This year, the United States is once again at the top of the 2026 rankings. The Global Fire Index 2026 list of countries based on current military strength is as follows:

Britain is the eighth most powerful country in the world. It is also a permanent member of NATO and the United Nations Security Council. It operates nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines. Britain and the United States are each other’s biggest military allies.

Turkey
