Kathmandu. Manpower companies have been instructed to send Nepali workers abroad only from domestic airports.
The Department of Foreign Employment has issued a circular directing the manpower companies to do so. According to Article 22 of the Foreign Employment Act, 2064 (2007), the institutions with the license to send workers for foreign employment should use the domestic airport while sending workers for foreign employment.
The circular also directs the foreign airports to follow the prescribed process by obtaining permission from the Department if they have to use the foreign airport for any reason.
