Kumari Capital Limited (n) has successfully conducted a one-day AML/CFT training program focused on securities market for the employees of Kumari Capital Limited (, the only TAG_OPEN_strong_9 organization specialized in consultancy services on TAG_OPEN_strong_10 Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (TAG_CLOSE_strong_10}} in Nepal.
The main objective of the training program was to enhance practical knowledge, regulatory obligations and compliance capabilities regarding AML CFT in securities market, especially merchant banking business. A detailed presentation was made on the international AML CFT concept, Nepal’s legal and regulatory framework, role and responsibilities of market intermediaries as per SEBON’s AML directive, as well as practical compliance expectations of merchant bankers.
The training was facilitated by experts Shreedhar Adhikari and Lekh Nath Pokhrel. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the staff of Kumari Capital and the participants actively discussed the real compliance challenges and best practices seen in the Nepalese securities market.
