Protest against government’s decision to increase tax on services provided by private sector hospitals

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has objected to the government’s proposal of adding tax to the health services provided by the private health institutions. Issuing a press release, the association has also warned to reconsider the government’s proposal and withdraw the proposal.

According to the association, it would be a great injustice to levy tax on patients who come to the hospital for treatment, which will put additional financial burden on the patients and their relatives.
