Kathmandu. The government has allocated Rs 2.19 billion for agricultural insurance grants. Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year today, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said this.
He also announced to provide assistance to genuine farmers in agricultural insurance. He also informed that the misuse of the premium subsidy of agricultural insurance will be controlled.
Similarly, 80 percent subsidy will be provided on the premium of agriculture and livestock insurance and other subsidies will be gradually removed, Wagle said.
