Kathmandu. A maximum of 3 relatives have been requested to welcome or bid farewell to a passenger at Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Tribhuvan Airport Office (TIA) has issued a notice requesting this information today. Considering the crowd at the airport, the office has requested only 3 relatives to come.
According to the notice, the number of domestic and international flights to Tribhuvan International Airport is increasing at present, due to which the number of air passengers is also increasing. “In some cases, tens of thousands of relatives come to the airport to welcome and bid farewell to a passenger, which makes it extremely crowded due to the limited space within the airport premises,” the notice reads. This is adversely affecting the management of the airport. ’
The office has requested only 3 relatives to attend the farewell or reception of a passenger as it is necessary to discourage overcrowding.
