Kathmandu. Narayan Bajaj has been appointed as the chairman of Himalayan Life Insurance Limited.
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held today has decided to appoint Bajaj to the post. The meeting also elected him as the chairman of Laxmi Corp Nepal from the vacant promoter group.
Earlier, Shuwal Agrawal was the chairman of Himalayan Life. He had resigned from the post on April 19 citing personal reasons. Bajaj has been appointed as the chairman of the company for the remainder of the term.
Agrawal is currently in police custody in connection with a money laundering case.
