My Farmer Brings IPO, Appoints Prabhu Capital as Issue Manager

Kathmandu. Mero Kisan, a business organization working in the production, processing and distribution of agricultural products at the doorsteps of consumers, is going to launch an IPO.

The company has also signed an agreement with Prabhu Capital on Monday to make necessary arrangements for the IPO issuance. Now, Prabhu Capital will make the necessary arrangements for the IPO issuance and sale of My Farmer.

Chairman of Mero Kisan Bishnu Mani Gautam, Managing Director Abinash Silwal, Director Sunil Thapa and Director Santosh Basnet along with Managing Director of Prabhu Capital Ashish Gauchan, Chief Business Officer Basu Thapaliya and Chief Investment Fund Sudip Hari Dhungana were present in the signing ceremony.

My farmers have set a target to modernize agriculture by combining agriculture and technology by procuring seeds, storing and processing agricultural products, packing, selling and distributing agricultural products.

He believes that this collaboration between the share issuing company and the issue manager will connect the company to the general public through capital market and help in further investment and expansion of agriculture sector in Nepal, which is said to be an agricultural country.

The company has purchased around 3.5 bighas of land for the purpose of operating an agro processing centre and milk dairy at Patihani of Chitwan. This work is in the final stage.

The company is building a cold store in Chitwan with an investment of Rs 400 million. The company has stated that it aims to fully operate the agro processing center within the current fiscal year and the milk dairy by the first quarter of the coming fiscal year.

The Company on Monday laid the foundation stone for the construction of cold storage for the processing and safe storage of vegetables, fruits and food stuffs at Patihani. The cold storage is being constructed in an area of 3 bigha and 10 katthas of land with an aim to complete it within five months.

Currently, the company has been selling vegetables and fruits produced by local farmers through the My Kisan mobile app. Through this platform, farmers and consumers can buy and sell goods without any middlemen.
