Pokhara. The Nepali Congress (NC) has opened its account of victory in the House of Representatives election from Mustang.
Yogesh Gauchan, 32, of Nepali Congress won the election with 3,307 votes. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.
UML’s Indradhara Bista was the closest contender for Gauchan. He got 1,806 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Anab Chandra Thakali came third with 759 votes.
Gauchan, who is also active in tourism and hoteliers, was elected in 2079 securing 3,996 votes. His nearest rival was CPN-UML’s Prem Prasad Tulachan who got 3,078 votes.
