Kathmandu. Newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nabil Bank Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. Bishwanath Poudel took oath of office and secrecy. Chaudhary took oath of office and secrecy amidst a programme organized at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) today.
The 699th meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on January 12, 2002 unanimously elected Chaudhary as the chairman of the bank.
He is also the Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, a business house and has been working as a director in various companies of Chaudhary Group. He is also the Vice President of Chaudhary Foundation and Senior Vice President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Bam Bahadur Mishra, Executive Directors Ramu Poudel, Guru Prasad Poudel, Dayaram Sharma and Dirgha Bahadur Rawal, Director Nira Talchabhadel and Board Secretary and Director Sharan Kumar Adhikari were present in the meeting while Nabil Bank’s directors Malay Mukherjee, Ananta Poudyal, Prabin Tibrewala, Sarita Bhatta Adhikari, Anil Keshary Shah, CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Deputy CEO Bhupendra Pandey and Company Secretary Bhishma Neupane were present in the meeting ।
Nabil Bank has been providing banking services through 268 branches and 321 ATMs across the country. The bank said it will continue to provide banking services to more than 25 lakh customers and join hands with all its stakeholders. The bank, which has been providing quality banking services for the past four decades, has recently adopted the concept of sustainable banking and brought into operation N-Bank for digital banking.
