Kathmandu. Global IME Bank and DAI-Udaya Project have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate for financial access to various small and micro enterprises in Koshi Province. Chief Executive Officer of the bank Surendra Raj Regmi and Chief of Party Arun Rana of the Bank signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
After the agreement, the bank believes that the loan will be easily disbursed to various small and micro enterprises operating in Koshi Province and employment will increase with the expansion of business of enterprises and entrepreneurs who are unable to expand their business due to lack of investment.
As per the agreement, the enterprises and businesses selected under the DAI-UDAY project will get loans from all branches of the bank in Koshi Province.
As a bilateral initiative of the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland, the project is being implemented in all districts of Koshi Province with the technical support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning of Koshi Province.
The DAI-UDAY project has been facilitating the availability of credit and financing for business growth in Koshi Province for renewable energy, agro-processing, IT, tourism and manufacturing industries.
