Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 4.25 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The central bank is to invest Rs 4.24 billion in fixed deposits of banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 12 midnight on December 19.
Out of the total deposit, the central bank will invest Rs 3.39 billion in commercial banks, Rs 636.6 million in national level development banks and Rs 212.2 million in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 366 days from January 1, 2026 to January 1, 2027.
