Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has appealed to all not to indulge in activities affecting financial services.
The central bank made this request in a press release today. “All concerned are informed not to indulge in activities that could affect the financial services as unprofessional and unruly activities against the banks and financial institutions and their employees would be difficult in mobilization of financial instruments if the control is not controlled,” reads the statement.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged the employees working in the financial sector to work keeping the morale high as those involved in irresponsible behavior and unruly activities will be punished as per the prevailing law. “The NRB’s attention has been drawn to the recent incidents targeting banks and financial institutions,” the statement reads. ’
The main task of the concerned BFIs is to disburse loans, monitor loan-related projects and recover loans subject to the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2073 BS and directives of the bank. “Since the banks and financial institutions collect deposits from the general public and issue loans, they cannot repay the deposits if the loan is not repaid. । ’
According to the NRB, there is a provision for redressal of complaints related to banking transactions at the concerned institution and the Rastra Bank.
