Kathmandu. Banks and financial institutions (BFIs) have operated Automated Teller Machine (ATM) for the convenience of customers. Currently, the share of commercial banks in ATM booths across the country is about 93 percent.
According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), there are currently 5,268 ATM booths across the country. Of them, 20 commercial banks have 4,890 ATM booths. In this way, the share of banks is 92.82 percent.
Similarly, 17 development banks have only 339 ATM booths across the country. This is 6.44 per cent of the total ATM booths.
Similarly, all 17 finance companies currently have only 39 ATM booths across the country. This is 0.37 percent of the total ATM booths.
