Kathmandu. In the last four months, the insured and their dependents have received claim payment of more than Rs 14.5 billion from the life insurance companies.
According to the monthly publication of Nepal Insurance Authority, Rs. 14.59 billion insurance claims have been paid. The claim amount has increased by 13.67 percent compared to the first four months of the last financial year.
The average amount of claim paid by the life insurer is Rs. 2,190.
During the period, life insurers paid a total of 72,915 claims. The number of claim payments has increased by 8.40 percent compared to the same period last year.
The life insurer has paid Rs. 62,579 out of the claim. Rs 5.04 billion is yet to be paid.
