Trump administration to re-check green cards for citizens of these 19 countries

Kathmandu. The Trump administration has announced that it will re-examine green cards issued to people who have come to the US from 19 countries.

US President Donald Trump has ordered a “full and rigorous” re-examination of the green cards of citizens of the 19 countries, according to the head of US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Joseph Edlo. The Trump administration’s announcement comes after an Afghan national was charged with shooting at two National Guards in Washington DC on Wednesday. One National Guard was killed.

The suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, came to the United States in 2021 as part of a special immigration protection program for Afghans following the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
